The Quran was given to the Muslim community about fourteen hundred years ago. Its knowledge is so extensive and vital that it took twenty-three years to reveal fully. This is why memorizing the Quran can take many years; it takes even longer to learn and understand its meaning (Tafseer).

It might be fair to say that the Quran is one of the most recited but least understood books. Sadly, millions of Muslims around the world recite the Quran daily, listen to it, and learn how to read and recite it well, but many do not understand its meaning or try to follow its guidance in their lives, which is crucial for all Muslims.

Many people who learn and recite the Quran do not focus enough on understanding its meanings and context. This often happens because they are in a hurry, as reciting the Quran with little breaks is encouraged in Islam. While reciting the Quran is a special gift for Muslims, learning it is also a part of a Muslim’s life.

Ayahs and Surahs from the Quran are recited during prayers, but many do not take the extra step to understand what they mean. Nowadays, people are so busy with their lives that even when they have time, they prefer to use their phones or other gadgets rather than understand the Quran.

However, learning Tafseer is not just about reading its meaning from a book; it is essential to learn it under qualified and experienced Islamic scholars or online Tafseer Quran teachers who know the Arabic language, grammar, Hadith, and basic principles of Islamic law.
